The AUSLAB Clinician Access Plus (CAP) module provides web browser access to patient orders and results and is able to be fully integrated with any of the specialised AUSLAB discipline products. CAP provides for a seamless and consolidated view of all patient reports across the continuum of patient care regardless of the location or the discipline of the service provider.
The utilisation of CAP revolves around the CAP "Patient List" facility. Patient lists are customisable by the clinician and may contain all current patients for the clinician, all patients for the clinicians selected clinical unit or ward, or a list of patients generated and maintained by the clinician. From a simple view of the patient list, clinicians can easily identify the status of the testing that has been requested on their selected patients. If requests have been made to the current status of the requests, and if reports have been completed, an indication of the criticality of the results is displayed. Further to this the patient list will also indicate if requests have not been performed by the nominated turn around time, or if completed reports have not been reviewed.

The CAP orders facility allows for orders for all diagnostic and clinical testing to be placed through a single portal. Requests are automatically transferred to the required service provider for pickup or placed on the appropriate collection lists for collection at a later date.
The simple but effective CAP electronic orders and report management tool allows clinicians to manage their patients on-line in a more timely manner and hence improve their patient care.
