Introduction

In addition to the rich functionality provided by the core AUSLAB system each AUSLAB module facilitates effective and efficient work practices to meet the unique requirements of each discipline. AUSLAB provides for extensive user configuration, allowing the service to customise the system to meet their own changing requirements. PJACC's intelligent interfaces to analyser equipment and supportive work-flow management facilities ensure the laboratory can cope with the increasing demands placed on them. Versatile and flexible enquiry and reporting facilities ensure that the clients need can be readily satisfied. AUSLAB's image document storage system provides for efficient on-line storage and easy retrieval of request form images and other clinical documents.

The AUSLAB Pathology Management System can operate within a single department in a laboratory or provide a fully integrated solution for multi-department laboratories and multiple laboratories across a wide area network PJACC's current installations vary from small regional single person laboratories through to large referral centres. Sophisticated networked systems cross-area health services and facilitate provision of a total statewide solution.
